Tylcau Hill

Please help save precious flower-rich pastures:

Tylcau Hill covers nearly 70 acres of traditionally farmed flower-rich pasture in a glorious location in Llanbister parish, just a few minutes walk from the western edge of our Beacon Hill reserve. It is rare indeed to find an area of grassland of this size that has largely escaped agricultural ‘improvement’ – most surviving pockets of this precious habitat are small and isolated. It is even rarer that such land comes on the market.

The Trust seized a golden opportunity – our offer to buy was accepted and now we must raise the funds!
- We have launched an appeal to help fund the purchase and management of a beautiful new nature reserve. Please click here to download our leaflet about this precious new reserve. (2 MB)
